Clinical Trials

When exploring treatment options or searching for trials, OpenEvidence automatically surfaces active and recruiting clinical trials and evaluates each one against your patient's clinical context — matching disease, treatment history, and eligibility criteria to help you identify the most relevant options.

Surfacing Clinical Trials

Finding relevant clinical trials is as simple as asking for them — whether you're explicitly searching or exploring treatment options for your patient.

Trial Matching

Every trial is evaluated against your patient's clinical context and categorized by relevance:

  • Highly Relevant — Strong clinical match based on disease, treatment history, and patient characteristics
  • Matches Disease — Disease-appropriate trials that may fit your patient

We also surface basket trials — tumor-agnostic studies that enroll patients across multiple cancer types when they share common molecular features or biomarkers.

Each trial card displays phase, enrollment status, sponsor, and key eligibility details at a glance.
